Berger Elite Hunter rifle bullets are designed for long-range hunting performance and feature an advanced hybrid ogive that combines tangent and secant designs. This results in optimized efficiency, reduced wind drift, and minimal sensitivity to seating depth.
These bullets are identical in shape, construction, and performance to the Berger Hybrid Target series, but utilize a thinner J4 Precision Jacket for rapid expansion on game animals. After penetrating approximately 2–3 inches into the vitals, the bullet begins to expand, creating a large wound cavity (up to 15 inches). This ensures maximum energy transfer, significant tissue damage, and strong hydrostatic shock for an effective and ethical kill.
