Glock field knife FM81 with saw back
Original Glock field knife FM81 with smooth blade, saw back and polymer safety sheath. The blade is made of tough HRC55 spring steel, phosphatised. Handle and safety sheath made of Glock polymer. The Glock field knife has a thick blade that will not break even under the toughest conditions and when used as a tool. This makes it possible to use the knife for digging or as a bottle or can opener. As the blade is made of carbon steel, it is easier to sharpen and more stable than conventional stainless steel blades, but tends to rust a little more easily when wet. The field knife can also be used as a throwing knife. The cavity in the handle, which is sealed with a plastic cap, is used as a bayonet for the Austrian assault rifle (Steyr AUG). The cavity can be used as a storage space for matches, for example.
