The Specna Arms MP44/StG44 RETRO AEG (X-ASR) is a historically accurate airsoft replica of the legendary Sturmgewehr 44 (StG44), one of the most influential firearms in military history. As part of the Specna Arms RETRO Series, this replica is designed for historical enthusiasts, WWII reenactors, MilSim players and collectors.
The original MP44/StG44 was developed for the German military during World War II and is widely considered one of the first true assault rifles ever produced. It introduced the concept of an individual automatic weapon chambered for an intermediate cartridge, the 7.92×33 mm Kurz. With nearly half a million units manufactured, the StG44 became a groundbreaking design that influenced many later assault rifles.
The replica is constructed from a combination of metal, wood and polymer, providing excellent realism and durability. The barrel, muzzle device, receiver, body, sights, magazine well, magazine, fire selector and charging handle are made from metal. The pistol grip panels are manufactured from durable polymer, while the fixed stock is crafted from real wood and includes sling attachment points.
Internally, the rifle features the reliable GATE X-ASR MOSFET. This electronic system protects internal components, improves trigger response and extends the lifespan of both the battery and electronics. Built-in LED diagnostics allow basic faults to be identified quickly.
The Specna Arms MP44/StG44 RETRO AEG combines historical authenticity with modern AEG performance, making it an excellent choice for WWII reenactment, historical MilSim events and collectors looking for a unique assault rifle replica.
